// pick a component type + RE level, manually enter each donor piece's stats, and calculate the result
What this does — simulates a Reverse Engineering result for a ship component: pick a Component Type and RE Level (1–10), enter the best value of each donor piece's attributes by hand, and calculate the resulting stats with that level's bonus % applied.
Donors — for each attribute shown, type in the highest value you have among the donor pieces you're reverse engineering with. Attributes vary by Component Type.
Calculate — applies the RE Level's bonus % to your donor values. Each resulting stat gets a quality badge (Outstanding ≥99% / Very Good ≥95% / Good ≥90% / Standard ≥85% / Bad <85%) based on how close it lands to the theoretical maximum for that level. The radar chart plots the same result visually.
Simulate with Max Reference — ignores whatever you typed and calculates using the maximum possible value of each stat at this level instead, showing the best theoretically achievable result.
RE Projects — logged-in players can save a calculation as a project and reload it later; recalculating an already-saved project updates it in place rather than creating a duplicate. A filter above the list switches between "Active" (the default — hides projects already saved to inventory) and "All". How many active projects you can keep depends on your Nexus account status (Outsider / Registered / Authorized) — projects already saved to inventory don't count against that limit.
Save to My Inventory — sends the calculated result straight to your My Ship Parts inventory, ready to equip in the Ship Layout Builder. Once saved, that project is tagged "Saved to Inventory ✓" and becomes a permanent record — it can no longer be edited, recalculated, re-saved, or deleted, so its numbers stay accurate for RE Quality Insights below.
RE Quality Insights — a collapsible panel with two charts built from your full RE Projects history (active and saved-to-inventory alike): a breakdown of how many projects fell into each quality tier, and how your quality % has trended over time.
Inhibited — if your account drops in status (e.g. a ban) and ends up with more ACTIVE saved projects than the new limit allows, the oldest ones stay fully usable and the rest are shown read-only ("Inhibited") until you delete enough to get back under the limit. Projects already saved to inventory are unaffected by this, since they don't count toward the limit.
You may log in to save calculations as RE Projects and send results to My Ship Parts. LOGIN
