Quick start
Choose a planet, enable the layers you need, then search for an existing location or click an empty point to evaluate a new city site. Open the selected item for details, or send a valid site directly to City Planner.
Planet Navigator
Use the planet buttons over the map to switch planet without leaving the map workspace. The active planet is highlighted. The navigator can be minimized with its chevron.
Map Layers
Use Map Layers on the right to show or hide cities, resources, POIs, City Plans and other available overlays. The layer panel can also be minimized.
Search
Search for a city, resource or POI from the search box above the map. Selecting a result centers the map on that location and opens its available information.
City Analysis
Click a free point on the map to select a possible city location. City Analysis reports its X/Z coordinates, radius, ground height, relief, water coverage, buildable percentage and terrain warnings when generated terrain is available.
Terrain restrictions
Enable Terrain restrictions in Map Layers. Blue marks water and amber marks a slope warning. Neither can be used as the center of a player city. Player-built structures are unavailable on Mustafar, Kashyyyk/Kachyrho, Dathomir and Endor.
City Rank
The proposed city radius is: Rank 1 = 100 m, Rank 2 = 200 m, Rank 3 = 300 m, Rank 4 = 400 m, Rank 5 = 500 m. Use Rank − / Rank + inside City Analysis to change it.
Waypoint
City Analysis generates the SWG waypoint for the selected location. Use Copy WP to copy it to the clipboard.
Use in City Planner
This captures the exact selected map area at the chosen City Rank, opens City Planner, and uses that capture as the 2D grid background. When the plan is saved, the captured image is stored with that City Plan and can also be used by its 3D View.
Full Map
Use View Full Screen to maximize the map. Planet Navigator, Map Layers and City Analysis remain available while working in full-map mode.
3D View
Open 3D View from Planet Navigator. Drag to rotate, use the mouse wheel to zoom, right-drag to move, or navigate with WASD; hold Shift to move faster. Click the terrain to run City Analysis, then use Use in City Planner to capture the matching area from the 2D planet map.
3D layers and height
Use the checkboxes to show or hide cities, resources, POIs and trainers. The Height control exaggerates elevation to make relief easier to inspect; Reset restores the initial camera position.
Measure distances
Activate the measurement control on the left side of the map, select the required points and read the distance directly on the map.
Player Cities & City Plans
Player Cities show the live city information available for the selected planet. Published City Planner layouts can be displayed as map overlays; use the City Plans opacity control above the map to adjust their visibility.
Live refresh & Reset View
The status badge reports live map refresh activity. Use Reset View to restore the default map position and zoom, or Galaxy to return to the galaxy view.
